I am looking for book suggestions to download. I never have time to read, but I walk the track after work and want to listen to a book. Got some suggestions?
Today I will start preparations for Thanksgiving. We are hosting it here, and have decided to do a formal affair, which my children have never experienced. I have been watching the food network getting recipe ideas and turkey tips. I am going to "brine?" my turkey today to get it ready for tomorrow. (as suggested by Tyler from Tyler's Ultimate)

My camera is finally working again. I am going to get it out and start taking pictures of the preparations. It will be fun to hang out with the kids all day as there is no schoold. They love to cook so this will be a great time. I think I'm gonna have to let T in on Joshuas cookie recipe. He would love that. It sounds almost as easy as my chocolate chip cookie recipe. Shopping list: 1 box frozen Otis Spunkmeyer cookies from Costco... Directions, bake at 350 til done. My poor children.

Last year when Grandma Oborn was here, I took T to the store to get groceries. I told him that we needed to get stuff to make cinnamon rolls, that Grandmas was going to teach him to make them. He told me, "I already know how." Really? How? "Mom you already taught me, you take them out of the freezer, put them in the pan, and cook them. They are really yummy!" Wow am I a faliure or what!!! lol!
Elizabeth and Allen are moving out. The local Sears, where Allen works, has announced it is closing it's doors at the beginning of the year, so Allen has transfered to a store further south. Elizabeth and Allen decided it was time to move on and get their "own" place. Though they do have their own space here, guess it was just time for them to feel more independent.

I am so sad to not have Milo living here any more. Just the other day, Liz spent the whole day down stairs and I didn't see Milo all day. The next day he looked like he had grown so much. After so many years of not having my family around I have felt truly blessed the last few months to be surrounded by my sisters and their families.
After 5 months in this house I have finally started to feel like we are home, and I have started decorating. Mom and Amy.... I even cleaned my office yesterday. You can see the carpet, and the counter tops. (I will post Pict's, you will be amazed) Next is that space in the kitchen that collects all the junk. When Liz and Allen get the rest of their stuff out we will be spreading out into the basement. I will have a craft room, we will get a guest room set up, put the Fooze Ball table and air hockey table up and have free access to our theatre. Though we are sad to see them go it will be crazy nice to have all that space.

I know it's been forever since I last post and so much has been going on. But at the same time as I start to write it all out, not much is going on. Brady's business is still doing well. We are going through a transition and moving away from our installation business and focusing primarily on custom programming. He is doing most of his work in California and Colorado right now. Right now he is doing a lot of travel but the goal is to be every other week.
T has started wrestling again this year. This is his 4th year. He's alot more involved this year and is actually on a competition team that competes year round. His first match is on Saturday. I'll post pictures of that...maybe. I am having problems with that. I managed to loose the charger to my main camera in the move and it's $50 to get a new one. And my back up camera has a Firewire out and I don't have firewire on my computer. That gives me an idea, I wonder if Bradys laptop does. Anyway, maybe one day I'll get pictures up on this blog.
K in taking Gymnastics 2x a week. She actually has Aunt Meg as an instructor. She loves gymnastics and can't wait to get a medal. She is very jealous of T's sport that hands out metals a lot more often than hers does. I need to talk to the gym managers and see if there is something to do about that. Guess Ill bring it up at the next coaches meeting.
C is just C. He is definetaly a handful. Good thing he is the Baby, dont know what I would do with another one. He loves school, and if asked will proundly tell you he is the smartest in his class.
So here is a story for you, We don't say hate in our family. It is considered one of those Naughty words. So anyway, one night we were getting ready for bed and having family prayers in the boys room. As I walked into the room I smelt something really nasty and turned to Brady and said, "Dang it the dog shit in here." Ok I know, what kind of example am I , well... then C- says, "I hate dog shit!" I was completely shocked (I know, I shouldn't be, I did just say it.) And I said "C-, that is a naughty word!!!" He looked at me all ashamed and said, "I'm sorry mom... I dislike dog shit!"
That is typical C- a little too smart for his own good, and way too cute.
Well it's getting late. Guess I should sign off. More later- me

So what is new in our lives? Well lets see.... I am finally out of my cast. My foot is healing and I am out of my boot. It still hurts on occasion, after a long day on my foot but it's better each day. Dr. says it will be a long process, and will probably bother me off and on my whole life. That sucks... but it could have been worse.

My dear husbvand has been around the last few weeks, that has definitly been sice to have him around. Ben, Allen and him have been working on the "ghool show" in our front yard. When it's done I will get pictures up. Apperently Brady has found a kindred spirit with the same appreciation for Halloween, in his new buddy Ben.

Megan and Ben come over a few times a week, its been so much fun to have Thomas around and to watch him grow up. We can't wait for Milo to finally decide to join us. Elizabeth still hasnt begun to dialite despite the fact she is 40 1/2 weeks and has some medical intervention to help her. She goes in tomorrow to see if anything more has happened. We are hoping for her sake this is almost over.

Mom got here last Sunday and has been helping take care of Elizabeth. Its fun to have her around. I'm really lucky to be able to have her around as often as she is despite living so far away. She will be staying until the end of the month to help Elizabeth with the new baby.
