Wow, my husband sure didn't know what he was getting when he asked an Oborn to marry him 12 years ago. It takes a strong man to sign on for the wild ride that is life as an Oborn. I am happy to hear all the good news trickling down from the north about Ray and baby Abigail. They are still in our prayers daily and our thoughts regularly, as they continue along the long windy road ahead of them. Elizabeth and Allen are currently living with us. That is going well. There have been surprisingly few issues. Allen has enrolled in school, will start in the fall. He also interviewed at sears yesterday and re interview on Monday with the GM.
Brady and I have been looking at moving...yes, again!!! The home we are in came with a 2 year agreement to purchase or vacate. It is not a home we want to purchase and with the market the way it is right now, the agreed purchase price is way too high. We had a new home picked out we were very excited about, but then decided it just wasn't for us, so the hunt continues. We have time to decide, so we'll see. The problem is I get very emotional about the whole process, and the idea of what a house "could" be. So Brady made me make a list of priorities, and if a house doesn't meet 90% we wont even go look at it. (least he doesn't, I still drive by sometime, just in case)
Husbands-
Last night, after a very exhausting week and Brady being gone for almost 2 weeks, I broke down and balled all my stress out to Brady while in bed. After 15 minutes I said to him, while lying on my back staring at the ceiling, "what do you think?" He answered with a mumbled "huh?" He had been asleep. I was so angry. So I said "forget it"- "No I'm awake, whats up honey?" so I started all over. He put his arm around me and said I worry to much and we'll talk about it in the morning. So after I get out of the shower I said- "wow, what a lousy night. I didn't get any sleep." "you didn't?" said my kind, loving husband "why?" "Um, cuz I was crying on your shoulder all night.." "You were?" HE WAS ASLEEP THE WHOLE TIME!!!! MEN!!!!
Anyway, summers going good- when does school start again???? Katrina is in summer school for 3 hours T-F. The boys are bored out of their mind and it starting to get too hot. It has been a mild summer so I cant complain too much.
Love you guys, Amanda

Love you to. It is so nice to know that there is still "normal going on around the world as I hold my self up in the hospital with Ray. He is doing great and we hope to be home soon.

I hope Christopher isn't part of your stress. We sure appreciate everything you're doing to help him out this summer. We love you a lot!

Hey there Amanda! This is Leslie Calinsky Cheret... I've been visiting Amy's blog and I started reading all of the Oborn clan's blogs to keep up on what's going on with Ray and Becky! I'm glad to hear you are all doing well. We too are in the process of moving. Our house is going up for sale today and we're moving about 30 miles south to be closer to hubby's work. Gas is killing us! We're looking for a home and just like you guys, we're frustrated! Next time I'm in Utah (which will be Aug. 6-7) we might have to find a way to get together! I'd love to see you, even if it's only for a few minutes! I love reading about your family! They have always been a great example to me... from waaaay back in Mesa days! Take care!

Amanda ~ I was so excited to log onto your blog and see that you had updated it! We don't talk enough... Hope the hunt for the house goes well! If we end up selling this place and heading out in September, maybe we'll come join Elizabeth, Allen and Christopher and sleep on your couch!! Love you too...
