Broken bone #5
Katrina is 10 years old an so far has had 3 broken arms, a broken knee, 15 stitches, and now a broken foot. She was doing a handstand in the basement, when she lost her balance and fell over, and hit her foot on the window sill. Most kids would have a nasty bruise, maybe some swelling, but not Katrina, she has a "dancers fracture." She is on crutches with a boot thing and we will be headed to a orthopedist in the next few days to see what the plan is.
what a great way to start the new school year
This so reminds me of Elder growing up! He continually had broken arms, sprained ankles and lately head bumps (from being so tall). Nascar had stitches several times, and both Casanova and Chabs had broken arms. Poor Starwars had more than his share before we adopted him:( So I know that feeling of, "Will these kids ever maintain balance and safety?". But, even my hubby has had his time in a boot (last year!!). Hug your daughter for us:) She's a real cutie and she'll will have fun telling the teacher about her summer!
