So I was reading Amy's blog about the crockpot and Oh, can I relate! When Brady is gone the kids are up til midnight cuz I am DONE and the thought of fighting with them about bed is beyond me. And ditto on the dinner thing. My kids have gotten good at making their own sandwiches. Thats our dinner of choice when Brady's gone. But I do love the Crockpot... I probably have 15 goto recipes for it. Actually, I just did a roast on Sunday... You'd think I had never cooked before for the kids reaction, then I used the leftovers for stew the next night. I LOVE THE CROCK POT!!! It is my friend!

By "we" I mean Megan, Liz and me, along with Megans mother in law Sandy adn some help from my kids, with constant banter from Milo and Thomas in the background. Did you know snickerdooled dough (despite what the people at the Pink Cookie Company say on the Food Network) is not the same as sugar cookie dough, and is way to sticky to rollout and cut?
So we added 4 extra cups of flour, but they were still yummy!!! And another lesson, Elizabeth has never melted chocolate chips before, and as we all know.... EVERYONE screws that up the 1st time!!! And Megan is way picky about mixing frosting colors? But all in all we had a blast. WE actually had an Oborn sister get together with out one blow up. There was a little button pushing, but it was a lot of fun.
We made 8 dz sugar cookies, a double batch of peanut butter-chocolate bars, 7 layer bars and it wouldn't be Christmas baking without the stainglass windows.
It went on all day! It was really fun to all get together again. We havent had the chance since Liz and Allen moved out. I can't believe how big Milo is getting. I watched him while Meg and LIz ran to the store. He laid in my lap and we talked to eachother. He just babbled and smiled up at me. It was really fun.
We did a quick cleaning of the house and the kids vaccumed everywhere. Now that Thomas is mobile, "Megan and Thomas are coming over" brings a whole new meaning. He is really getting quick at getting where he wants to... if he wants being the key. He is just as happy to sit on the floor with his arms in the air and scream at you til you come get him. He has us all wrapped around his fingers!!

I recieved this via email today, and wanted to pass it on. As we get caught up in the holiday spirit it's easy to forget the sacrifices being made around the world for our freedoms.
Luke AFB is west of Phoenix and is rapidly being surrounded by civilization that complains about the noise from the base and its planes, forgetting that it was there long before they were. Apparently, an individual who lives somewhere near Luke AFB wrote the local paper complaining about a group of F-16s that disturbed his/her day at the mall.
The complaint: 'Question of the day for Luke Air Force Base: Who do we thank for the morning air show? Last Wednesday, at precisely 9:11 A.M, a tight formation of four F-16 jets made a low pass over Arrowhead Mall, continuing west over Bell Road at approximately 500 feet. Imagine our good fortune! Do the Tom Cruise-wannabes feel we need this wake-up call, or were they trying to impress the cashiers at Mervyns early bird special? Any response would be appreciated.
The response: Regarding a wake-up call from Luke's jets On June 15, at precisely 9:12 a.m, a perfectly timed four-ship fly by of F-16s from the 63rd Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base flew over the grave of Capt. Jeremy Fresques. Capt. Fresques was an Air Force officer who was previously stationed at Luke Air Force Base and was killed in Iraq on May 30, Memorial Day. At 9 a. m. on June 15, his family and friends gathered at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City to mourn the loss of a husband, son and friend. Based on the letter writer's recount of the fly by, and because of the jet noise, I'm sure you didn't hear the 21-gun salute, the playing of taps, or my words to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresques as I gave them their son's flag on behalf of the President of the United States and all those veterans, servicemen and women who understand the sacrifices they have endured. A four-ship fly by is a display of respect the Air Force gives to those who give their lives in defense of freedom.
We are professional aviators and take our jobs seriously, and on June 15 what the letter writer witnessed was four officers lining up to pay their ultimate respects. The letter writer asks, 'Who do we thank for the morning air show? The 56th Fighter Wing will make the call for you, and forward your thanks to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresques, and thank them for you, for it was in their honor that my pilots flew the most honorable formation of their lives. Only 2 defining forces have ever offered to die for you.....Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. Lt. Col. Grant L. Rosensteel, Jr. USAF

I have decided it's time to start working on my vinyl business again and am trying to get the word out about it. I am working on building a website at http://www.bushcreative.etsy.com/. I also want to start doing some party's and e-partys. I have great hostess benefits that include large amounts of free vinyl for you home. I have posted alot of pictures of some of my stuff and prices. I have tried really hard to make my prices reasonable and better than my competition.
E-Parties are really easy, all you do is pass on an email invite to your friends. When they order I ask them the name of their Hostess, and you get credit for their purchases. At the average party the hostess ends up with between $30 and $50 in free vinyl plus 2 or 3 1/2 priced items.
If you are interested in hosting a party or ordering come vinyl for your own home let me know. Orders placed in the next week, before the 12th will arrive in time for christmas. I will even gift wrap and ship directly to recipient when requested.
A great grandparents gift is a 12x12 tile that says... The only thing better than having you for my parents are knowing my children have you as Grandparents. ($15)
